Workshop Session Choices (pick 2)

-Text Lab

This is an opportunity for us to share texts we are currently using and discuss ways to incorporate more texts into our curriculum.

Bring a laptop to access Google Classroom where some texts will already be uploaded. Also upload texts that you are currently using with students.

-Student Work Diagnostic

This is an opportunity for us to sit with student work together – to discuss the ways in which we see students living the habits of practice and critical thinking in our classrooms. We will also consider the ways in which our assignments ask (and do not) students to engage in these practices.

Bring a laptop to access Google Classroom where some student work will be uploaded. Also upload your own student work example[s] that you would like to discuss.

-Things That Work/Don't Work

In this workshop, each participant has two minutes to present either: an activity or assignment that has worked well in their classroom; or an activity that hasn’t gone well but has potential. We will briefly discuss each pitch and offer suggestions.

Bring a laptop to access Google Classroom. Please add the activity/assignment you wish to share in the designated folder (or Google Classroom).
